Scholarships and Assistance

ECS is continually working to assist our families with the costs of tuition. We currently participate in a number of scholarship programs, both private and public, that assist our families by covering some or all of the tuition costs at Emmanuel Christian School.

Ohio Department of Education

EdChoice is a state funded scholarship awarded to families who reside in a failing school district and whose student(s) would be assigned to a failing (local) school.  Scholarships amounts vary based on grade level and financial need.

EdChoice Expansion is a state funded scholarship that is awarded to Ohio residents regardless of school district.  The Expansion scholarship is a needs-based scholarship.  New scholarships are awarded on a limited basis each school year.  Once a student has been awarded the scholarship, the award will continue each school year if qualifications are met.

For more information on scholarships through the Ohio Department of Education, visit: http://education.ohio.gov/Topics/Other-Resources/Scholarships/EdChoice-Scholarship-Program

Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF)

NOSF is awarded to residents of Wood, Lucas, and Fulton counties and is awarded to assist with the cost of tuition for students in grades K-8.  NOSF scholarships are awarded based on need, determined by income and household size.   Each scholarship is funded through the private donations of individuals, corporations, and foundations.  NOSF is affiliated with the Children’s Scholarship Fund.

Scholarships are awarded up to $1500 per student.  New scholarships are determined by lottery each spring.  Once a family has been awarded the scholarship, all students in the family will receive funding through the 8th grade, as long as qualifications are met each year. For more information on the NOSF visit:  www.nosf.org

Emmanuel Fund Tuition Assistance

Emmanuel Christian is grateful to be able to offer some tuition assistance based upon a family’s financial need.  The EC Tuition Assistance Committee prays for discernment to help as many families as possible while staying within the limited funds available.  Your completion of the application provides the committee with an equitable process to review each family’s financial information.  The typical tuition assistance award is up to 50% of the total cost of EC tuition.  Applications are reviewed on a first-come, first-serve basis.  There is no guarantee of funding for later applications, so please complete your application early.  NEW families should apply within 2 weeks of their students’ acceptance for admission.  The application can be completed through our online admissions system.

TRIP (Tuition Reimbursement Incentive Program

EC parents, families, and extended family members can participate in the TRIP program to earn funds toward tuition costs.  The TRIP program is run entirely by EC family volunteers.  TRIP allows participants to purchase gift cards at face value from participating merchants.  A percentage of each purchase is given back in the form of a rebate, which is applied to the designated student account.  TRIP credits are applied to each student account twice each year.  For more information contact the ECS Trip Coordinator:  trip@ecstoledo.org

Family Referral Credit

We know that our biggest advocates are the students and families of ECS. Emmanuel Christian School offers a $500 referral bonus to current families for the referral of a student who enrolls as a new student. The bonus is credited to the student account at the end of each semester.
