A solemn tapping ceremony inducts student leaders into the prestigious National Honor Society. NHS emphasizes character, service, academics, and leadership. Students must apply to this society and be approved by faculty. At ECHS the National Honor Society promotes peer tutoring and service projects. In addition, NHS members help raise money to support an "adopted peer" through Compassion International. For more than five years our students have sponsored Biruk from Ethiopia. Students gather for monthly meetings to brainstorm and organize additional projects. NHS also sponsors a chapel each year. Emmanuel is proud of our student leaders in NHS. They learn that true leadership is Christ-like servanthood.
