School
is the place where we learn to
think. “The fear
of the Lord is the beginning
of wisdom.” (Psalm 111:10) “In
Christ are hidden all the treasures
of wisdom and knowledge.” (Colossians
2:3) At Emmanuel Baptist Christian
School we strive to train children
to think God’s thought
(wisdom). The curriculum is integrated
with Biblically based principles
and illustrations. Teachers model
a daily consistent walk with
Christ while lovingly expressing
God’s wisdom in the classroom.
Students are taught to think
biblically.
School is where students
learn how to work. “Whatever
you do, work at it with all your
heart, as working for the Lord,
not for men.” (Colossians
3:23) At Emmanuel, students are
challenged to do their best whether
in the classroom, on the athletic
field, or playing a musical instrument.
Rigorous academics teach students
to organize and manage their
time.
School is where students
learn to relate to others. “As
iron sharpens iron, so one man
sharpens another.” (Proverbs
27:17) “Love your neighbor
as yourself.” (Mark 12:31)
The value of positive peer influence
cannot be measured. At Emmanuel,
students will rub shoulders with
peers that are concerned for
the lost, that are praying for
one another, that are concerned
about purity of speech and life – in
general, are building up each
other.
At what school do you want
your children to learn to think,
to
work, to relate to others?
