Dear EC Parents and Faculty,

I am overwhelmed by the support and sense of community that exists during this time of crisis. It is during times like this that the body of Christ really shines. I am reminded of the life of Joseph from Scripture in Genesis 39. When Joseph found himself in a pit a second time because he was falsely accused it says, “And the Lord was with him.” That is an important promise to remember as we find ourselves seemingly in the pit. Whether it is illness, the loss of a job, or the threat of the loss of a job and the financial pressure that accompanies job loss or reduction we can rest assured that just like Joseph “the Lord is with us.”

I have visited with a number of our families who have lost their jobs due to business closure or slow down during the crisis brought on by the virus. While I believe we will come out of this time stronger, we have an opportunity to act and to show our support for others in the EC community through the Emmanuel Christian Relief Fund. You can make a contribution directly to the EC COVID-19 Relief Fund.  Your contribution will be earmarked to provide immediate relief to EC families who are struggling to make the next tuition payment due to job loss or slow down.

Just follow these instructions if you want to add a dollar for every two you contribute:

2) Search organizations.

3) When you find Emmanuel on Laskey click the make a personal donation link.  

4) You will be directed to InFaith site where they have to send the donation.  

 
We have an opportunity through June 30, 2020 to increase donations to the EC Relief Fund through Thrivent Financial.  You can direct your contribution through Thrivent at the link below.  Every $2 you donate, Thrivent will match $1, so your gift of $2 becomes $3.
